Making the right decision

On my way coming to studio one morning, I witnessed a conversation amongst a group of people and the one thing that got me interested was a phrase, and I quote  "Don't make the right decision, make the decision right".

For a moment I was in deep thought of the phrase.
A story quickly comes to mind....
A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use, while the other disused.
Only one child played on the disused track and the rest on the operational track.

A train came and the driver was just beside the track interchange. He could make the train change its course to the disused track and save most of the kids. However, that will mean that the lone child playing by the disused track would be sacrificed; or would you do the unthinkable?...

Most people would choose to change the course of the train and sacrifice the innocent child on the disused track. Yes!!! I also thought so (emotions getting the better of me).

Because to save most of the children would be the rational decision most people would make morally and emotionally.

But let me play devil's advocate here; Don't you think the child choosing to play at the disused track had infact made the right decision to play on a safe track?
Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who chose to play where danger lurks?
What would the driver of the train had done if you were in his stead?
