The Prodigal Daughter

Driving past Law school after close from work,She had come across skimpy dressed females most of them probably in their 20s on a body show exhibition. What were they doing there? They were using what they had to get what they want. Their faces were uncovered with shame. They were using their bodies to hustle for cash.

The sound of their chewing gums were irritating. As different cars passed by,they beckoned " One night! One night!!"

But seriously, you know now times could be hard. Doing business required capital. Making ends meet came with its own challenges.  It could be hard breaking away from that cycle that never breaks.
But is that enough justification to engage in such ventures? Knowing that these women"  could as well sell their bodies and make fast money. Now their customers are not just males , they even source for females like themselves?? Money was their motivation. Indulging in sexual activities was the game.

Back to my story...something was not just right as she drove past their exhibition booth. There was particularly one of them so young and fresh. Why would she be involved in prostitution? It grieved her to see them being used by the devil. She could have ministered to all but to conquer Samaria you start small.  She could have driven past and say a prayer or chastise them like most of us would have done but instead, what did she do?

She stopped her car and beckoned to the young fresh-looking prostitute. With immediate alacrity, the prostitute came over happy to have nailed a client. The prostitute exposed a large portion of her breasts, thighs and legs( branding/marketing strategy)

"One night? Or..." The prostitute asked. It didn't matter to her if her "client" was a female like herself. For all she cared, it could be her or maybe she was an agent for male client. Lesbianism didn't seem wrong.

Winding down her car window, She said "one night..." Then opened the car for the supposedly fresh looking prostitute to enter.

"How much will you pay?"
"Hop in...Let's discuss" She has said

After driving some few kilometers from the " danger zone", She could not help it anymore. With tears in her eyes, she said to the prostitute in her car,
" I want to tell that...Jesus loves you!"

The impact of those very words were profound. Both Client and service provider began a journey of shedding tears. One wept to see a precious life wasting away and the other wept repentantly.

The prostitute said" Nobody has told me this. For the past five years ,I stopped going to church....Thanks"

How the strength and inspiration came to win an unbeliever remains attributed to the help of the Holy spirit. In the car, it was an eyeball to eyeball talk on the love of the Father. It was so touching that the prostitute made up her mind to not turn back to Sodom and Gomorrah. In the car, the prostitute changed her clothes to more presentable wears.

She had collected her number and ensured she did a follow-up. She was determined to let the rejoicing in heaven continue over a new convert. The prodigal daughter. Her name was Melody.

After the whole episode, She had felt so fulfilled. The joy in heart could not be contained. She had won a soul. m Most importantly, she had touched a life! The next day, the transformed "prostitute" came over to her office for an appointment, more encouragements and godly counsel was given to her by her supposed " client".
Melody left the office with business contacts for possible employments and as a better person with clearer purpose in life.

NB:This is a true story. Several times we are quick to judge people by their deeds. Have we deemed it necessary to be the change we desire? Do our lifestyle portray what we preach? Are just being religious or doing the work God has entrusted to us? Remember we are all going to be accountable for the number of lives we touched and how we spent our life on earth...
